This Privacy Policy explains how Alles Afrikaans ("we", "us", "our"), an online print-on-demand store based in Australia, collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you visit our online store or buy from us (the "Site"). We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order, create an account, sign up to our emails or contact us, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, order details and any messages you send us.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and other payment providers offered at checkout (for example Shop Pay, Apple Pay or Google Pay). We do not see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect device and usage information such as your IP address, browser type, time zone, pages and products viewed, search terms and how you interact with the Site, using cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
- To process, produce, ship and deliver your order, and to send order confirmations, shipping and tracking updates.
- To respond to questions, returns and customer service requests.
- To screen orders for fraud and keep the Site secure.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
- To send you marketing emails, but only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share your information with
Our products are made to order by third-party print-on-demand partners, so we share only the information needed to fulfil your order (such as your name, shipping address, phone number or email where required for delivery, and the items ordered) with:
- Shopify, which hosts our store, checkout and customer accounts;
- Print and fulfilment partners such as Gelato and Printful, which print, pack and ship your items;
- Shipping carriers engaged by us or our fulfilment partners to deliver your order;
- Payment processors, to process your payment and prevent fraud;
- Marketing and analytics tools we may use (for example Shopify's email and analytics tools, or advertising channels such as Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google and Pinterest), subject to your cookie and marketing choices;
- Authorities or advisers where required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia. For example, Shopify and our print and fulfilment partners operate in countries including Canada, the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom and other countries where orders are produced or delivered. We use reputable providers and only share what is needed for them to provide their services.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the store working (for example, your cart and checkout), remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. Where our advertising or analytics partners use cookies, they may do so to measure and personalise ads. You can manage cookies through your browser settings and any cookie banner shown on the Site. Blocking some cookies may stop parts of the store, such as the cart, from working.
Age
The Site is intended for adults, and some products contain adult humour and language. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep order information for as long as needed to fulfil orders and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, and then delete or de-identify it.
Your rights: access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are in the EU, UK or another place with its own privacy laws, you may have additional rights under those laws.
