Free Tee Draw: Terms and Conditions

Version 1.6, 29 October 2026 (varies version 1.5 of 21 October 2026). The short version: join our email list (or email us) from 10 October 2026 until entries close, and you're in the draw to win the exclusive "Ek het die hemp gewen" tee. You literally can't buy it. Entries close once we reach 100 valid entries (with at least 7 days' notice of the closing date) or on 31 January 2027 at the latest. No purchase necessary. AU residents 18+.

1. Promoter

1.1 The promoter is Jesse Hobbs trading as Alles Afrikaans ("we", "us", "Promoter"), based in Trinity Park QLD. Contact: lekkerman@allesafrikaans.com.

1.2 By entering, you agree to these terms.

2. Promotion period

2.1 The promotion opens at 12:00am AEST on Saturday 10 October 2026 and closes at the earlier of: (a) 11:59pm AEST on the closing date we announce after the promotion reaches 100 valid entries, which we will announce on the Alles Afrikaans store (allesafrikaans.com) and the Alles Afrikaans Facebook page at least 7 days before that closing date; or (b) 11:59pm AEST on Sunday 31 January 2027 (the long-stop close). This is the "Promotion Period". Entries received outside the Promotion Period are not valid. All times are Australian Eastern Standard Time (Brisbane, UTC+10).

3. Who can enter

3.1 Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 or over.

3.2 The following people can't enter: the Promoter, the Promoter's immediate family (spouse or partner, parents, children and siblings), and anyone involved in running this promotion.

3.3 We may ask the winner for proof of age and Australian residence (such as photo ID showing date of birth and an Australian address) before awarding the prize.

4. How to enter (free, no purchase necessary)

4.1 Option A, join the list: during the Promotion Period, enter your email address in the signup form on the countdown page at allesafrikaans.com and submit it. Doing this subscribes you to Alles Afrikaans marketing emails (see clause 10).

4.2 Already on the list? Everyone who is subscribed to the Alles Afrikaans email list at any time during the Promotion Period, including people who subscribed before 10 October 2026, automatically gets one entry. You don't need to do anything.

4.3 Option B, entry without joining the list: email lekkerman@allesafrikaans.com during the Promotion Period with the subject line "Free Tee Draw" and your first name. You'll get one entry, and we won't add you to our marketing list.

4.4 One entry per person, however many times or ways you enter. Repeat signups, multiple email addresses belonging to the same person, and address variations (for example name+anything@ or dotted Gmail addresses) count as one entry. Entries made by bots, scripts or fake details are invalid.

4.5 Unsubscribing after entering does not cancel your entry.

4.6 Entering this promotion costs nothing beyond your normal internet costs. You don't need to buy anything, and buying something doesn't improve your chances.

5. The prize

5.1 There is one prize: one exclusive Alles Afrikaans "Ek het die hemp gewen" T-shirt, a one-off design made only for this promotion and not offered for sale, in the winner's choice of size and colour from those available for the prize at the time of claim. The tee is valued at A$50 (RRP, based on the retail price of comparable Alles Afrikaans tees), plus free standard delivery to an Australian address (valued at A$15). Total prize value: A$65.

5.2 The prize can't be exchanged, transferred or redeemed for cash. If the chosen size or colour is unavailable, the winner may choose another available size or colour. If the prize can't be supplied, we will substitute a prize of equal or greater value with the winner's agreement, or as otherwise permitted by law. Any images of the prize shown before it is made are illustrative, and print placement and colours may vary slightly.

5.3 The prize is printed to order. We will dispatch the prize within 14 days after the winner claims it.

6. The draw

6.1 The winner will be drawn at 12:00pm AEST two days after the Promotion Period closes (for example, Tuesday 2 February 2027 if entries close at the long-stop date) in Trinity Park QLD.

6.2 Method: the draw is a computer-generated random draw in which every valid entry has an equal chance of winning:

(a) After entries close, we compile the list of valid entries. Each entry is given an anonymous ID (a SHA-256 hash of the normalised email address). Before the draw, we publish the number of entries and a fingerprint of the full list (the "list hash") on our Facebook page.

(b) The random number comes from a public randomness beacon that nobody controls, drand (League of Entropy, mainnet chain 8990e7a9…51b2ce, see drand.love): the first round of that chain published at or after the draw time in clause 6.1. That round can't be known in advance. We will publish its round number on the countdown page at allesafrikaans.com (and on the Facebook page) when the closing date is announced under clause 2.1 (or, for the long-stop close, before 31 January 2027).

(c) Each entry gets a score of SHA-256(beacon randomness + ":" + entry ID). The entry with the lowest score wins. The next-lowest scores, in order, form the reserve list used for any redraw (clause 8).

(d) The draw is screen-recorded and the record is kept. Anyone can check the result from the published values. We will give the anonymous ID list to an entrant or regulator on request.

6.3 If the beacon is unavailable at the draw time, we will use the first round of the same drand chain published after it becomes available, and we will announce this.

7. Winner notification and publication

7.1 We will notify the winner by email to the address they entered with, within 2 days of the draw (for example, by Thursday 4 February 2027 if entries close at the long-stop date).

7.2 We will publish the winner's first name and state (for example "Anna, QLD") on the Alles Afrikaans Facebook page from 4 days after the draw (for example, from Saturday 6 February 2027 for a long-stop close), for at least 28 days. By entering, you agree to this.

8. Claiming the prize and unclaimed prize redraw

8.1 To claim, the winner must reply to the notification email by 11:59pm AEST on the 16th day after the draw (for example, Thursday 18 February 2027 for a long-stop close). The reply must confirm they are eligible, and give their choice of size and colour and an Australian delivery address.

8.2 If the winner doesn't claim in time, is ineligible, or doesn't provide the proof requested under clause 3.3, they forfeit the prize. An unclaimed prize redraw will then take place at 12:00pm AEST 21 days after the draw (for example, Tuesday 23 February 2027 for a long-stop close) at the same place, by selecting the next entrant in the reserve order produced in the original draw (clause 6.2(c)). That winner will be notified by email within 2 days of the redraw and must claim by 11:59pm AEST 9 days after the redraw. If needed, we'll run up to 2 more redraws in the same way, at 12:00pm AEST 35 and 42 days after the draw, each with a 7-day claim period. We will announce the exact dates with the closing-date announcement.

8.3 A winner never has to pay anything to accept the prize.

9. Early access (separate perk, not part of the draw)

9.1 Subscribers to our email list will be emailed a password giving early access to the store about 24 hours before public launch (public launch planned for 1 November 2026). Early access is a separate subscriber perk and not part of this promotion. Option B entrants who don't subscribe won't receive it.

10. Privacy and marketing emails

10.1 We collect your email address (and any name you give us) to run this promotion. If you entered under Option A or were already subscribed, we also use it to send you Alles Afrikaans marketing emails about launches, new designs and offers until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing won't affect an entry you've already made.

10.2 We won't sell your details. They are stored in our Shopify store system and used only by the Promoter. If you win, we will also use your delivery details to send the prize and publish your first name and state as described in clause 7.2. To access or correct your details, email lekkerman@allesafrikaans.com. Our store privacy policy also applies.

11. General

11.1 We may disqualify any entry, or any entrant who tampers with the entry process, provides false details, or breaches these terms.

11.2 If the promotion can't run as planned because of something outside our reasonable control (such as technical failure, fraud or unauthorised intervention), we may modify, suspend or cancel it to the extent permitted by law, subject to any direction from a regulator. We will not change these terms after the promotion starts except as permitted by law, or to extend the Promotion Period (and move the draw and related dates accordingly) where the change does not disadvantage entrants who have already entered and is announced publicly.

11.3 Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, the Promoter isn't liable for any loss or damage arising from this promotion or the prize, except where it's caused by our negligence or breach of these terms.

11.4 Facebook/Meta: this promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. By entering, you fully release Meta from any liability in connection with this promotion. Questions go to the Promoter, not Meta.

11.5 We will keep records of this promotion (entries, the draw and prize delivery) for at least 5 years.

11.6 These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

11.7 The Promoter's decision about the draw is final, subject to these terms and the law. No correspondence will be entered into except as set out here or required by law.

11.8 Variation: Varied on 29 October 2026 to extend the entry period; entries already received remain valid.

Change log

v1.6, 29 October 2026: entry period extended to 100 valid entries (long-stop 31 Jan 2027); draw and notification dates now set relative to close; entries already received remain valid.
